Love it or Hate it, why some love the First Look

While I am a sucker for those photos of the Grooms emotions when he sees his bride walking down the aisle for the first time, not all Grooms show those emotions publicly so why not do a First Look?

I get the question a lot of how or why, when it comes to deciding if the First Look is best.  Here are some reasons on why couples choose the First Look.

   You get to take advantage of more time of photo/video

There can never be enough wedding photos! This gives you that additional hour+ for more photos prior to the ceremony. If either of your aren’t as comfortable behind the camera then taking this time with just the two you will help get you warmed up for the remainder of your wedding behind the camera. Photographers are so great at taking advantage of this time to help make you both feel so comfortable, at the end of the night you won’t even know they are there anymore snapping away!

   Enjoy those Cocktails and Apps

We all know most of the budget goes towards food and drinks, so why not enjoy it all. Most couples miss the cocktail hour because they are busy getting their photos taken as a couple and then with family. The great part of the first look is you get a good chunk of your photos taken prior so that means more time to spend enjoying those appetizers and signature cocktails with your friends and family.

   A sentimental moment you will still forever cherish

No matter if he sees you walking down the aisle for the first time or you decide on a first look you will remember that moment forever. Having the first look with just you two captures the raw emotions of just you and not anyone else around. 

   Kick those nerves to the curb

It’s only natural to be nervous on your wedding day, it’s one of your biggest days yet. Some however are nervous because of all the guests watching them walk down the aisle.  If you are someone who does not like any public attention then a First Look is definitely something you should consider. You’ll be able to kick those nerves to the curb before the ceremony even starts, no sweaty palms at the altar!
